Ella estudió inglés el año pasado.
I woke up, had breakfast, and went to work.
Me desperté, desayuné y fui a trabajar.
She arrived, met her friends, and had dinner.
Ella llegó, conoció a sus amigos y cenó.
No se usa para acciones que continúan en el presente:
❌ I lived here since 2020.
✅ I have lived here since 2020.
❌ She worked here for 5 years.
✅ She has worked here for 5 years.
Para acciones que continúan en el presente, se usa el Presente Perfecto.
- I visited Paris last year.
- She finished her homework.
- They went to the beach.
El Pasado Simple describe acciones que están completamente terminadas en el pasado.

En el Pasado Simple, los verbos pueden ser regulares o irregulares. Los verbos regulares siguen una regla consistente, mientras que los verbos irregulares tienen formas especiales que debes memorizar.

Se duplica la consonante final:
Solo se añade "d":

Al igual que otros tiempos verbales, el Pasado Simple también tiene formas negativas e interrogativas. Para esto se utiliza el auxiliar "did" en todas las formas.
